Digging Deeper into Equine Science

Explorations takes students beyond the fundamentals of equine science, encouraging them to investigate the biological, physical, and environmental factors that influence how horses live, grow, and interact with the world around them.

Through scientific investigations, hands-on activities, and opportunities for research and analysis, students examine increasingly complex concepts while strengthening observation, critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific reasoning skills.

Designed for students in grades 4–7, Explorations encourages learners to ask questions, examine evidence, make connections across scientific disciplines, and apply their understanding to real-world situations.

​Exporations is part of Mountain Dell Equestrian's expanding curriculum. Resources are being developed with the learning needs of kindergarten and first-grade students in mind and will be introduced as the collection grows.
